Qt tank
Hello, I am new to the hobby and I am setting up a qt tank. I purchased an Aqueon Quiet Flow 20 HOB filter and removed the carbon. Is there something else I need to add in its place? The package says the filter contains a "Bio-holster" meant to remove ammonia and nitrites. It's a plastic insert that is placed inside the filter. Is this sufficient? I have read about floss filter. Is this something I need to add? I currently have two fish in the qt tank. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

The filter media needs to have established bacteria, if not already I'd promptly add some instant ocean bio spira. Ammonia will kill fish fast.
