Questions re reefkeeping Aug TOTM Greg Carroll

I had a couple questions about Aug TOTM by Greg Carroll.....

I tried to find the thread for this tank but I could not find one that I could post on. The only was I saw did not give me access.

Can someone please tell me what the gorgeous purple coral is with the orange polyps. I looks like a gorgonian to me but I'm assuming it's a SPS of some type? There is a separate photo of this located on the TOTM page at...

What kind of fish are the bright colored schooling fish that look like an anthias of some type.

It is a gorgonian and i think those are Lyretail Anthias.

Anyone know what type of gorgonian that is and if it is photosynthetic or not?

Unfortunately Greg is about to break down his tank as he and his family are moving, but he plans on even bigger and better things with the new tank.
