Apex question ?

I want to buy an apex controller. But I have been holding on because I dont need it right away. Last night while cleaning my sump, I dropped my ATO controller in saltwater. It has stopped working now.

My question is should I just buy float switches and the Apex ( which I wanted anyways ), or should I reinvest in a tunze ATO which is like 210 dollars.

Maybe you guys can help me with this decision ?

I see its better if I just buy the Apex and float switches instead of spending another 200 on ATO. Maybe I am wrong.

Go ahead buy the Apex. Opens up so many other possibilities beyond auto top offs

Next question How would I go about making the top off. I have pump tubing but will need float valve. SO the float value will go into breaker box.

You need the breakout box, it's like $40 then a couple float switches and simple programming and viola! ATO

You should first really look into what an apex can do and see if you care to use it for all of the things it can do. Buying an apex for just an ato seems excessive. Make sure you want the other features that apex can offer. Also go spend some time in the Alex forum to see what others are accomplishing. It might inspire you. It has for me. But now my list of what I want to accomplish with the Apex continues to grow as I read on lol.

No I planned on buying an apex. Just not this moment. But the failure of an ATO gives me a reason to buy early
