75 Gallon Aquarium setup?

I purchased a 75 gallon with stand. I'm going to drill it to get a internal overflow.

Sump size?

Heater recommendations?

Return pump I'm guessing Eheim 1262

Power heads?

Light? I'm looking at the Hydra Led or Sol, I would need 2 correct?

Sump I would go with as big as you can fit in the stand. Heated size would change depending on total water volume my guess is you'll be in the 200+ range. Power heads depends what you're willing to spend and yes you would need at least two sols. As far as hydras I don't know much about them.

+1, for the sump as big as you can fit. For the heater(s) 3-5 watts per gallon depending upon how cold you let your house get in the winter. For your tank you would want between 250 watts and 400watts. It is best to split the total wattage between two heaters so that if one sticks on or off there is less chance of a total system melt-down. I like Ehiem Jagger and have also had good luck with ViaAqua titanium heaters. It is a very good idea to use a controller to operate your heaters. Love the Eheim pumps, you spend a little more but they last forever and run quiet and efficiently. For controllable powerheads I like the Tunze or VorTech, each has advantages and minor disadvantages, but are well made with great customer support. Yes you would need two Hydras. I run AI Vegas over my 50 cube, but wouldn't hesitate to use the new Hydras.

if it needs to be resealed then don't bother, 75's are cheap, you can usually find them for around 75-100.
