how to relocate a Hawaiian duster?

"Evict" might be a better word. I need the real estate he's in. I cannot manually move him, since his tube is anchored deep within the rockwork, and moving the rockwork is not an option.

Is there a way to convince him to relocate on his own?

I once cracked the side off the rock to move one. It worked fine for me but I wouldn't recommend it. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
