Octopus Skimmer Not Working

I posted a previous thread but have not been able to get any feedback. Thought I would try one more time.

While cleaning the sand, my sump went way low. The skimmer ran for a few minutes dry before I realized it was low.

I cannot get the skimmer to calibrate for cleaning any more. No matter where the gate valve is set, the collection cup eventually fills up with clear water and little foam and overflows.

make sure the venturi on the pump is clear and not restricted
