Over skimming?

Hi all,
I have a question, I am going to use a coralife pro 125 skimmer in my 40 gallon breeder with 25 gallon sump. Would I be over skimming if I use this skimmer? I plan to have only three or four fish and some soft corals.
Thanks!

Over skimming is never a issue and rarely happens. Coralife has that skimmer rated at 125g but it is more along the lines of 75g-90g and at might even be a stretch. The are good as far as a price point but when it comes to skimming they are less than great

Current Tank Info: 625g, 220g sump, RD3 230w, Vectra L1 on a closed loop, 3 MP60s, MP40. Several QTs

That is a kind review. If there is a worse skimmer on the market I am unaware of it.

Lol....

To the op, I would look to get an nwb-110, this will do a great job for your tank.

Same here. I'm using a Reef Octopus BH100 on my 40B.

Seems like you all really hate this skimmer...Good thing I didn't pay much for it. It has a slight mod on it where the venturi nozzle on the pump has been enlarged so more air can be sucked in and I might do a fishing line mod on the impeller. I'll try it out and see and will perhaps get the reef octopus down the line.

Out of the skimmer? Probably not a good idea to drink from the skimmer.
