I think I'm on the right track

I just got my newest book in the mail today! "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" by Robert Fenner. Since I've never had a reef tank before, I'm just reading & planning right now. I've read the other 3 books in the photo and learned a ton! Also, I'm really impressed with all of the helpful information on this forum. I'm currently planning my first reef tank, trying to find that balance between "Don't skimp" & "DIY". I just want to say THANK YOU in advance to RC!

I hope to start a build thread in December. Current working plan is a 30x30x24 custom glass cube.

If you get a chance check out Reef-A-Palooza October 12 & 13 at the OC Fairgrounds, Bob is one of the guest speakers, but I'm not sure if his talk is Saturday or Sunday.

Thanks! Yes, I'm planning on attending on Saturday. I'm competing in a Scottish Highland Games festival in Ventura on Sunday, so it will be a busy weekend.

It also looks like SCMAS, a local reef club in so Cal meets on the 3rd Friday of each month, but there's nothing on their website about a meeting in September, so I don't know what's up with that.
