what is this????
my brother has what looks like aiptasia in his tank. not sure though, can you guys help me identify this? if it is, how do we get rid of it? i heard that peppermint shrimp eat it.

Yeah def. looks like a aptasia. Bad spot too. I usually kalk paste them but you would have to be really careful in that spot.

+1 Aptasia. You can get pretty precise with Aptasia-X and such. Good luck.
I would be tempted to QT this while you attempt to rid, Zoas can toss out some nastiness when they are distressed. |

Sure looks like one and it looks large. I agree it is in a tough spot and would try some Aiptasia x.
A peppermint shrimp is hit or miss and will not bother with larger ones usually. I would give the tank a good look over you may find some smaller ones in there. Good luck
