Fish before CuC?

My tanks done cycling but it's relatively clean, not much for a CuC to pick at, I've got some Diatoms growing now. I was thinking about just picking up my two clowns and waiting a week or two before getting my CuC. Would I run into any issues doing this?

Size of the tank? Amount of rock and sand? Sump or no sump? all this would be important to know to give you a better idea...

55G with a 30G sump that holds about 20g of water, 50lbs of rock, about 40lbs of sand, protein skimmer(hasn't been running during cycle).

With that much water volume you should be fine.

Clowns are pretty hardy but don't count out the inverts. They are some of the coolest things in the tank. If you're picking them up at a LFS, might as well grab a few inverts because the fish poop will need to get cleaned up somehow. Will you be ok for a week or two without them and your levels are currently good? Probably, just run that protein skimmer.
