Need Help with 100 watt Multi Chip
I am looking to build a light for my 92 corner tank. Can I get away with one Dreamchip 100 watt multichip hanging over my tank with the right optics? I plan on have all kinds of corals including SPS. The tank is a 1/4 circle that is 34 inches wide. The tank is 30 inches deep so I would need a 40 degree or so optic. I would like to get away with on dreamchip if I could. Should that be enough light for the tank?

I would think that would work fine after looking at it. Couple it with a 12in makers heat sink and you should have a really nice light. I am not sure if it needs a lens or not as you are trying to have it cover a pretty good sized area.

I would like to have it well above the water. Thats where the optics come in. Then i could dial it in where it would have coverage and yet still reach the bottom. Has anyone built one of these? How is the coverage?
