Radion XR30w for 48x24x24
I have been saving for a long time...selling off some extra equipment, consolidating the rest. I will be moving out of the dorms next year and I am starting to plan my 120g build!!!!
I will be buying the set up piece-by-piece over the next several months. (I can't go all in right away as I have a trip to the Galapagos planned!!!! ) With that said, I think my first purchase will be radion leds. They take up a small bit of space and they are a big enough investment that I won't be able to change my mind. Anyway, I was hoping to get some more specifics on the light. Exactly how does the software work? Will two be enough for an SPS dominated tank? How do they work in cooperation with the mp40? Also, has anyone mounted them in a wooden canopy. I am looking for as sleek of a look as possible. |

IMO i wouldnt spend 2000$ on leds for that tank. you will probably need two of them for sps and to cover that 4 foot tank. they are 899$. do your self a favor and buy something that will preform just as well and use the left over money to get some nice flow like a mp40 or 2 or other nice equipment.

Mike,
What lights do you have over your 120? What are the dimensions of your tank? |

If you go with the Radion PRO'S, you will be able to keep anything you want and will never have issues with your lighting not be sufficient. The PRO has UV LED's which is a must from my tests and experience.
If for some reason you don't have the money for Radion Pro's, go with the Kessil A360's that have UV as well, they perform very good. |

http://eztube.com/catalog I used the same canopy that I originally made for mh and vho lighting. When I first started thinking about how to mount them I looked at attaching them to the canopy like the mh and vho's were, because that was the way I had always done it. It always made removing the canopy very difficult. Then I looked around and saw some mounts that didn't need to be attached. Found the eztube, made the rack and now both are separate from each other.
