75 Mixedreef build

Hi I'm new to RC and I'm starting this thread is to document and share the progression of my tank and maybe get some advice

. The original plan was to get a red sea max 250... but after I read several reviews I decided to build my own system. I, being only 14 don't have a ton of money at my disposal. My parents was going to help me purchase the max 250 but now She's helping me with this build with $1500, the cost of the max. I have been saving for about a year now and I've accumulated $1100 from selling old toys, doing a paper route and odd jobs around the house. Anyway, I'm planning on doing a mixed reef tank more towards the sps side. I bought the tank from kijiji for $150 and I got a 20 tank to serve as the sump. Me and my father sanded the stand and stained is really nice dark chocolaty colour. I decided to go with BRS reef saver rock because 1. lower cost $2.49 a pound apposed to 9.99 per pound and 2. no pests.
For equipment:
Vertex omega 150
speed wave DC 790 gph return pump
brs biopellet reactor (hard plumbed into system)
brs dual media reactor (hard plumbed as well)
ati sunpower 6 x 54W t5
bulbs 1 ati purple plus, 3 Giesemann Actinic Plus and 2 ati coral plus
2, 1 1/2 inch drains
1 inch return
