My Diamond Goby is a jerk...

I got my reefcleaners.org order this morning and put the cerith and dwarf cerith snails throughout the tank. I go out for a bit and come home 3 hours later and was surprised to see that all the snails moved already as last time it took several days for them to "feel comfortable" enough to move. I then quickly realized that what actually happened was my Diamond Goby buried them all under sand he was moving around.... Will the snails be able to dig themselves out (it's aragonite) or should I start sifting to pull them out?

I've also caught my Diamond Goby pulling my Foxface & Flame Angel's seaweed off of their clip for no apparent reason (he doesn't eat seaweed) and then just swimming away (like... pulling off the entire sheet 10 minutes after I put it in)... Jerk.

the snails will all be fine. The goby is just doing what gobies do - the snails are just in his way. Can you put the algae clip higher in the tank? My diamond goby pretty much stays within a couple inches of the bottom.

If that doesn't work, maybe if you take him out and give him a stern talking to...

My Diamond Goby will swim all the way to the top of the water if he thinks he can get some type of food

My pink and blue spotted is a huge jerk too, also pulls seaweed off the clip. He just takes it to his hole and guards it... wth?

He also buries my LPS, and killed an ultra brain.

If I ever have a chance to catch him he's out.

Mine thankfully only dumps sand on/near one rock which is his "main home" (he keeps two, one on each side of the tank for some reason). He mostly just seems to try and fill in the "crevice" between it and the rock next to it so it's like he's on a hill or something.
For whatever reason that I cannot for the life of me seem to figure out, my Tricolor (Red Headed Solon) Fairy Wrasse always joins my Foxface in eating seaweed off of the clip... AFAIK Tricolor Wrasses are carnivores and don't eat seaweed, but mine does (doesn't spit it out either).

Ceriths and dwarf ceriths burrow in the sand on their own during the day, so I doubt the goby had much to do with it.

How much deeper would the ocean be if it didn't have sponges?

I just got done snorkeling and watching fish for an hour and a half today. Most fish, unless they were paired or schooling, had several square feet of real-estate between them and their neighbors. The goby is probably saying who's the jerk that dumped all of these snails in my territory. Cramming these animals in a tank which can't begin to represent a real reef environment and then blaming the animal for undesired behavior isn't being realistic.

lol... .I love the gangsta goby.

He didn't choose the goby life. The goby life chose him.

My McCosker's wrasse used to do that too. I think wrasses are just weird.
