Pure aesthetic question about black silicone..

Would it look bad to freshen up the seal of an aquarium with black silicone if it was previously sealed with clear? Reason I am asking is I got a used 58 gallon oceanic it does not leak but the silicone is beat up. I have no reason to cut into the actual joint but would like to cut out and freshen up the silicone on the inside. I have always liked the way black silicone looks but didn't want that small amount of clear silicone to make the black silicone look tacky. Thanks in advanced.
