Micro bubbles in DT

I currently have a 180 FOWLR. I did a water change and forgot to turn off my protein skimmer. I have 3 rubbermaid containers piped together as a sump. The end two are the returns from the display tank and the middle contains return pump and protein skimmer. The skimmer overflowed and did not realize it till I kicked my return pump back on. There are a constant stream of microbubbles being jetted into the display. How long will this take to clear up? There was also about 2 cups of skinmate in the collection cup that was also put into the aquarium, should I be concerned?

Micro bubbles are no problem IMO. These corals/invertebrates/ fish were designed for such things. (aesthetics) Skimate is no problem either. It came from the tank, so there shouldn't be any problem spilling it back in. (in most cases)

Once that skimmer is "dialed in " though, those pretty little pearls should go away. GL.

I had this happen in a 75 FOWLR and the contents of the skimmer cup caused a ammonia Spike. Not sure what you have in your tank but I would test daily for week and see what the readings show. If nothing than no concern if it looks to be testing then I would do a water change. The bubbles should disappear in a few days. I add a couple round filters to my return pump which helps clear it faster. You could also aim your return head(s) to hit the surface for a few days.
