CUC for 60 cube

So... i have had my tank running for about 6 months now.. and all i have are 4 nassarius snails, a few turbos, 2 bumble bees, and a few other type of snail i cant think of the name... anyways in the past i always mixed hermits with snails, but this time i decided not to.

now im thinking a few hermits may not be bad because they can eat the excess fish poop that clumps in the dead spots. Are there hermits out there that wont bother the snails? i used to just throw a bunch of various shells in so the hermits wouldnt try to steal shells from the snails.

Also, how many hermits would be appropriate for a 60 gallon cube?

They will forage thru fish poo for undigested food, otherwise, they don't eat poo that often.

I prefer to stock accordingly to what my ecosystem can handle for the CUC. I stock slowly until I notice that my algae or whatever I want is controlled to a degree I am happy with.

Over stocking results in losses, also means $$$ from your pocket as well.

Also when those extras die due to starvation, they can jump start a cyano/algae cycle for you. What do you do then, you buy more CUC's to handle that and it becomes a vicious cycle out of your pocket.

In my 65 I have ran 1 astrea, 1 mexican turbo, 1 hermit and a lame conch who actually does nothing but sleep all day for the last 2 years.
