What would the perfect sump include?
I am thinking about displaying my sump next to my tank instead of hidining it underneath. If I do I will have a custom sump made and would like to here thoughts on what you would include if space was not that relevant.
Initial thoughts: Refugium Filter sock Reservoir for top off Return pump section Skimmer & reactor section Possibly a frag section The tank is a 60g rimless so another question I would have is can your sump be too big? This tank is in my office so access ability as well as maintenance are my main drivers to having an exposed sump. Thanks in advance. |

Built in removable reactors like Lifereef.
Personally, I think ATO tank should be external located elsewhere. I would rather have stand space for a calcium reactor or 2 part dosing and skimmate locker. Filling up even my 10 gallon ATO chamber is a chore. I'd rather just have a massive 30 or 50 gallon RODI tank located remotely somewhere with a strong pump. |
