What sand for a shallow sandbed?

I plan to have a semi shallow sandbed in a 24x24x16 with minimalist scape with one med rock pile for a orange stripe prawn goby to live under, and am wondering what kind of sand I should run? I plan to run little to no sand up front with it sloped to the rear with maybe 3" towards the rear of the tank.

So many options... if planning on keeping SPSs, I'd go with Caribsea special grade reef aragonite. If no SPSs, then probably aragamax...
Good luck with things!

I've been looking into different sands and my search has turned up the Caribsea reef floor sand and the Tropic Eden Reef Flakes.
