Water flow question

Should I drop my water flow at night. Have a jbj rimless 30 gallon with a hydor nano pump. Should I turn this pump of at night?

I don't think you should slow down your flow to the point of too little flow. In nature, at the tide peak time, the waters tend to calm down and some aquarists like to recreate this by having a lower flow time at some point in time. The risks associated with too little flow far outweight the benefits of it IMO.

On my tanks with controllable powerheads I do ranp them down to around 50% of their normal speed at night, but with fixed flow powerheads I leave them all on 24/7.
