Do I add this fish to my tank?

So approximately a week ago I got a "mated" pair of saddleback clowns.

Being somewhat new, I was not aware they could be aggressive towards each other after the move.
After 2 days, the female beat the crap out of the male, and by the time I separated them and even after giving him melafix and stress coat, he passed.

So now that the female is absolutely fine swimming in the QT, eating, etc as she has since day one.

I do plan to QT her for the remaining 4-5 weeks but the question is do I add her into my DT? Will she kill my other fish?

75 Gallon DT currently has:
2 chromis
1 Perc Clown

CUC:
2 peppermint shrimp
1 coral banded shrimp
1 porcelain crab
hermits/snails etc

Yep, she'll kill your percula clown. You can't mix clown species in a tank that small. You'll have to get rid of one of them.

Thanks SM,

Any idea why she went crazy on her mated pair male that came with her?

Even in a 75 gallon they won't be ok?

How do you know they really were a "mated pair"? And what does that really mean?

I did add a "mated pair" of tomato clowns and have had no problems. She's larger and a bit darker than he is, but no problems between them. Maybe they're like humans: some "marriages" work out, some don't. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/im...ilies/wink.gif

They might be ok for a bit but eventually that female saddleback will probably claim the tank as her own and then bye bye percula Did you get the saddleback pair from a reputable dealer/LFS? Lots of people will sell 2 clowns as a "pair". A real mated, spawning pair probably wouldn't have had that issue so I would question the seller's claim? If you're set on keeping the saddleback, I would re-home the percula before adding her to the DT......

Seller was a fellow RC'er who had them together in a 29g cube for a while (supposedly, I guess I took them at their word).
They were breaking down their tank and selling everything... and the images had the two together. Maybe the move stressed her out too much? She took it out on him, I don't know. Poor little guy, he couldn't take her beatings.
