Clown has some spots! Help!
Hey guys,
I have a pair of smallish clowns and they have been fit and healthy until this morning I noticed some spots on one of them. Ive never had fish with Ich before but thats the closest to what I guess it looks like. The spots are raised and white Any ideas are hugely appreciated! Thanks |

This does not look like ich to me. Could be tremedotes, a type fluke. Possibly lympho but the one raised spot on its side really looks like something other than lympho.

Did you use a prior QT treatment for anything? What other fish are present? Tank size?

The fish have been in the tank for a few months, all additions have come from friend's tanks that show no visible signs of parasites (of course there could have been some sneaky travelers hiding under gills etc).
Display is 30 gallons sump is 20 gallons, there are two smallish clowns and one cardinal. All fish seem to be eating properly and acting normal, just the visible spots on one of the clowns. There are 4 spots visible, two very close together on one side (top pic) on the other side is a prominent spot that has come through the skin as seen in bottom pic, there is also another spot further back toward the tail that has not poked through the skin, just shows as a slight bulge and change in colour. Thanks for having a think on it |

Grest news! the sick clown is recovering well. His spots fell off and left smsll craters which are healing now. He is swimming more vigorously and eating like a champ.
symptoms followed lymphocytys to the T so im going with that as my diagnosis. Huge thanks to those who took the time to reply and offer their entirely correct advice |
