This thread is going to be painful. For me, it was a tank full of grown Sps during a power outage. About 20 colonies at once.

I lost a pocillopora colony that I had grwon from a one inch frag to a colony that was 11" across and 8" in height. Figuring the coral to retail at about $30 per 2" frag this colony was technically worth $1000's. I have the skeleton bleached and used as a table centerpiece.

Had my 5.5 gallon zoa tank crash.

At the time of the crash I had a single color morph with 2,852 polyps throughout the tank.

I paid around $5 per polyp for the small frag so carry the one .....

2,852 polyps throughout the tank? You mean to say you actually counted 2,852 polyps?

Yes. Doesn't everyone count their corals?

If you notice the powerhead and the mangrove polyp counts decreased over the last two months. The PH decreased because the original frag came off the rock and became wedged against the rock floor and front glass. Though the frag suffered the remaining polyps have recovered and I expect the frag to continue to grow. The mangrove frag disappeared. This was the first frag that experienced die off.

Next week I will ramble on about a few things that I have been thinking about and will give a more detailed description of these last two months of my tank.

Thanks and enjoy your tank.
