Edge 57 gallon rimless, is it worth moving existing tank

Hey guys, it's me again. So, my 40breeder has been running for about a month now and I just got the above mentioned aquarium from my boss. I managed to find homes for both the tang and the queen angel and decided to keep the midas blenny. So, my question is this... I'm really tempted to move the 40 breeder into the 57 gallon. It's just a much prettier looking tank and I'm thinking it shouldn't be a big problem since everything is still new. What are your thoughts?

Also, I notice a very strong smell coming from the overflow box. I did my best to clean it and scrub it down, but there are some rotting bristle worms between the over flow box and the glass supports. Any advice on getting rid of this? I was thinking bleach/water solution followed by several rinses but I wasn't sure of the long term effects there. Thanks again for everything!

Paul

I would move everything and top it with fresh saltwater. As for the smell, there shouldn't be any rotting exposed to the air and if it is, I wonder if your setup is correct... If there isn't I don't see how that can produce a smell so I'm confused here. If you are saying it is in the dry tank, then a peroxide rinse + a scrubbing down followed by a regular rinse should help a bit and your bacteria population should take care of the rest.

The 57g is currently sitting empty. I just painted the back of it. Ya, i was thinking the same but I was more worried about moving my currently running 40b into this "new" 57g. Wondering if that would cause to much stress to what's currently in there. I figured getting the sand out would be the toughest part but since the 40g is just about 30 days old, i figured I could get away without rinsing it.
