With the beananimal system, you will have no bubbles, so there's really no need for a bubble tower either. Just plumb you siphon and backup pipes directly into the sock.

If you still want to have a bubble tower, then I would move the socks lower in the sump if possible. If for some reason they were to get clogged, then the water can overflow into the sump, and not up over the edge of the sump.

Moving the socks down is a really good suggestion. Does bean animal really eliminate all micro bubbles? I've never heard this before. Any more information behind this? I may be seriously redesigning my overflow system.

Being that the siphon pipe is just that, a siphon that is submerged on both ends, you will have no air in the drain/siphon channel. When the BA system is running and adjusted properly, it is literally dead silent because of the absence of air in the line.

Watch some youtube videos and you'll understand

I would keep it as is , if you have the drains coming directly into the socks it makes it more difficult to change the socks , and with 4 " socks you will probably have to do fairly often , also its not like removing that bubble tower frees up any usable space.
