A year.. alot of lessons learned

Annie watching the tank.

After crashes lapses the tank has been under constant watch for the last four months back on track and looking good. Even the wrasses we are trying to bring back to good health is looking better!

Looking good, I like looking back over the photos of my tank, these systems take about a full year to go through all the acclimating phases but they're worth it.
What's the name of the purple shrooms in the 2nd pic ? I had some of them come as hitchhikers

I have no clue the name of them. I have been looking but cant find any for sale with a name attached. We got them from a lady who gave us her 90 gallon tank that want rid of it. The lights had all burnt out and the mushrooms were tiny little specks when we got it. After a week in our tank they are the size of half dollars. Ours glow under the moon lights. If anybody knows let us know!

No. I have a siphon break on it and the sump is sized to handle the amount that drains down. But thanks for the tip because it can be something overlooked easily when building your set up!

I give you credit, some people don't wait it out, and leave the hobby after a tank crashes

Good looking tank, congrats on the hard work it takes to be in this hobby

Good for you. I have not been through a crash yet but i have struggled through every pest in the book. Its hard to keep going sometimes but if and when its all running smoothly its easy to forget the struggle. So far all my lessons learned have been worth it too. Keep enjoying your tank.

Thanks for the kind words folks! And as of lately the wrasses has learned how to tease the dog! He/she darts around like crazy right at the dogs nose when she is sitting there. Getting tired of cleaning nose prints off the glass.
