Better than a Water Blaster Hy-5000?
Hi All,
I'm looking to possibly replace my waterblaster hy-5000 return pump. This is the closest I have come to a dead silent pump but lately it has become a little louder than I remember. Is there a similar return pump out there that is even more silent than this pump? Please let me know your experiences. I'd be very interested in hearing from someone who had the same pump and replaced it. Thanks, |

The Water Blaster pumps are among the quietest pumps out there. I think your pump would benefit from a good cleaning with a light acidic bath to get it back to normal function. Also, Reef Octopus is very generous with their customer support, give them a call/email if the cleaning doesn't work.
