lighting????
Hi I have some questions on lighting. I have done some resurch but seem to still be confused as to exactly what lights I need. I have extensive experience with fresh water fish and some experience with salt water fish only tanks. I set up a 60 gallon salt watertank I'm looking into getting some zoanthid and palythoa corals.I have a. marine glow 40w actinic light right now. Is this enough or do I need more lighting. Thank you for your time and advice.

for softies you dont need a whole lot of light, just a straight actinic will not work you can get a 50/50 bulb for it.

lighting????
The toxin is nothing to worry about if you wear gloves when messing with stuff. Now as for the OP question. Your going to want a light, whether T5, MH, or LED (they all have their pros and cons) that produces at the bare minimum 10k. 10 or 12k is good for Softies but its pushing it if your getting into sps or lps. Actinic is simply supplementary and while it does help corals that do use 460nm to a defree it will not help to make them grow. Read the stickies at the top for more info. Hope this helps!
