dosing pump for water changing
Does anyone use the BRS dosing pumps for water changing. Was wondering if this would be possible .

It would be okay for a daily water change set-up, but doesn't produce enough flow for a weekly/bi-weekly water change.

those pumps are not meant to run continuously. for a water changing pump you will want something like the masterflex dual head pump or something similar but bewarned these pumps can run you about $300-$500 +

Ya I don't think its good to pump volume through those dosers.

I use a 50 ml dosing pump for my top offs which is about a gallon a day. It runs for 10 minutes 8 times a day. So I depends on how much water you want to take out. If its about a gallon a day it would work but much more than that no it wouldn't work. There not supposed to be ran for to long at a time I think they say 4 minutes per hour
