Should i dose 2 part?

60 gallon with some leathers a few shrimp and some clowns. I am doing weekly water changes. Is that enough you think or should i still dose 2 part?

Only reason to dose two part would be if you had lps or sps. Weekly water changes should keep everything in line for now

agreed with zenmasterflex. if you've just go leathers, don't worry about it. I actually went a long time without having to dose, water changes were able to keep up with my needs, and I have a lot of lps and sps. They are getting big enough now though that I'm having to dose at this point... but with leathers I went a few years, never dosed, and always measured good on alk and calcium

+1, if you are using a good quality salt mix there shouldn't be a need. If you start to add stony corals that demand calcium and alkalinity I would start with Kalk as a top off until the need dictated the use of two part.

All depends on your calcium/alk levels. You'd be surprised how much calcium coraline algae can suck up! Only way to answer your question is to test for calcium/alk regularly over a month or two period and see what your levels are doing. If they're going down, then dose. If they're steady, no need.

It all depends on what the levels are in your tank and what the consumption rate is. With just soft corals the consumption probably isn't very high and you probably don't need to supplement alk or cal. But the only way to know for sure is to test the water.

seems like the more you read about, the less you need to dose. Check levels first and come up with some kind of plan to supplement tank when and if necessary.
