What is this on my fish
Ok so I got a 55gal from a friend for free it has two fish. One Clown and one Blue Damsel. The tank has live rock and crushed coral. Today I noticed a white spot on the side of the damsel. What is it and how do I cure it?

Can you get a better picture? I cannot tell much from the one you posted. The most common "white spot" on fish that I commonly see is "marine ich" or lymphocistis.

I'll try to get one right now. I'm pretty sure it's not ich.

Looks like some type of abrasion.

It seems to be more on the inside. Is there anything I can do for the fish?
Thanks by the way |

Yes the clown fish I have is pretty big. He kicks the other fish out of one spot that he claims as his own.

Seems like a wait and see for now, nothing you can do for the abrasion that would not cause more stress to the fish.
If you see blatant aggression between the clown and yellow tail you may have to remove one or the other. Damsel can get very aggressive, especially in tanks with limited room for territories that the other fish can escape to. |
