Can someone help me identify this thing?

Hi all, I have been setting this tank up for about 6 months. I have these little things starting to grow and I cannot figure out what they are.

I know the small one is a hydroid (at least I believe so) but I cant figure out what this little (starship enterprise) creature is.

If its a problem, PLEASE let me know :-)

Looks like a flat worm to me. If you start seeing them multiply don't delay w flatworm exit. I have a big problem now myself.

I took my turkey baster and have removed as many as I can see... I will monitor them closely. And as for the Hydroids, I just put in 4 peppermint shrimp the other day so hopefully they start eating them. If not, I might get a flame angel and kill two proverbial birds with one stone. Such a pretty fish.

Neither the flame angel or the peppermint will eat hydroids unfortunately. Perhaps you're thinking aiptasia and then only the peppermints may eat the aiptasia.

The particular flatworm you have (Amphiscolops) is a harmless type not pron to population explosions or harmful to livestock/corals an intervention is not warranted.
