What lighting do you have? I've heard, but not sure though if its true, that BTA's will bubble under higher intensity lighting, but get longer tentacles under lower lights as they are "reaching" up for better lighting. Don't know if it's true or not.

I had some that started with bubbles and then they lost them. Don't know why either and I'm running MH's and T5's, so the light is pretty intense IMO.

Generally you want to wait at least a year to introduce an anemone. Try feeding like the other poster said.

Mine loved scallops

Get frozen or fresh and cut them into mini pieces. Target feed with tongs or long piece of pvc.

I just got fresh scallops and cut them into smaller pieces about the size of its mouth and with tongs or anything dropped them around where the mouth was.

Any basis for this?
I've also heard 6 months, 3 months and waiting until certain phases of the moon.

Anyone who tells you how to do this is full of it. I have noticed that my nem thickens when spot fed, but hasn't looked like nipples since I got it, and my tank has more intense lighting than where it came from. Keep feeding it, and enjoy your new tank.

I think the general idea is to have experience and good husbandry so you're past the noob mistakes we've all made. That and maybe algea has ran its course. Otherwise if your water params are good and you have experience I don't see a problem adding one once your algea have all spiked and died.
