The most impressive section to me is the middle part that I interpret to be someone's private home (the reef tank beside the washer and dryer suggested that it was a private residence). That's a heck of a lot of reef tanks for one person's home. Kind of wonder how much time he spends on maintenance!

REALLY nice. It seems there are two stores being shown. The second one, with mostly sps had better coloration in their corals IMO.

The first one, is probably the nicest store ive ever seen...i just dont understand how a store of that level(building, tanks, square footage) can sustain itself these days with the online market. Their overhead must be insane...

Maybe it's a hobby store? Millionaires out here sometimes open a shop just because its their dream to run a certain shop. They know it won't make money but since they don't need money they don't care. Guess when they lose money they write it off on their taxes. Out here they open mainly cafes or coffee shops sometimes designer showroom type decor places. A reef shop would be so fun to have if you could hire someone for he maintenance and did not have to worry about making a profit.

Or maybe they charge admission to get in? Would you pay admission to visit those shops?

Wow. Thats crazy...i agree it could well be the case. If only members could buy the corals they have and if we could get a fair price, i would pay admission...
Here in NYC there is a store called Manhattan Aquariums and it is probably the nicest store in NY, with top notch equipment and livestock. Their prices are a bit high because it figures, its expensive to run these things. Being as nice as is however, not even close to what we see in that video...

It seems that the first store is some sort of a certain brand laboratory?
But then they show pics of tanks with corals for sale so it is indeed a LFS.

Everything is huge in that store. DOes germany get better quality live stock since they are closer to the source and USA gets the frags on the bottom of the box?

I have been reading German saltwater forums for years. An German reef tanks are at a whole other level than our tanks here in the US. Only wish we could get to that level.
