Wow thanks dkeller! Well i let it soak in vinager for about 3 hours then I added baking soda guess I need to get some hydrogen peroxide of bleach

I use a peroxide bath first to kill algae then I use vinegar to finish cleaning them! Works well!!

I am going to get some peroxide. Peroxide is a little more reef friendly than bleach

You can use the peroxide straight without dilution (the 3% solution sold in grocery and drug stores). 30 minute soak, rinse well under tap water, scrub off any algae or other deposits with a toothbrush, and put it in your tank. You don't need to let it dry.
