Where's a good place to buy a pre drilled tank
I'm looking for a 75 gallon tank that's predrilled for a overflow/sump I heard glass cages .com is very poor quality and not a great tank at all heard lots of bad reviews from people on hear but the post was from 2002 and I don't know if maybe they have stepped up their quality or not. I don't know any other places to find tank specs size and everything online any replies would help greatly.

...maybe i got lucky and it was built on a wednesday, and not a monday or friday. Although the "delivery" was alittle sketchy

poorly built might be a stretch of the truth....sloppy, yes. be prepared to break out some fresh razors to do some trimming.
its absolutely puzzling. they are 15% away from making top notch tanks. its the small details that separate a GC tank from an Elos or another premium maker.

Had my rimless 36x18x12 statphire tank for a year no problems. Well built if not over built. Custom made how i wanted it. I would buy from them again. I got black silicone never had to do anything to fill and enjoy.

I've had my 240 GC tank for almost 7 years and still love it.
They are over built and they don't take the same care when it comes to silicone work as other tank manufactures do. But it's a small price to pay for the huge difference in price, IMO. They do have a rep for being rude and had to deal with. I did not have that problem. I didn't have a bunch of silly questions. I knew what I wanted and ordered it. The tank was delivered from TN. to Washington state for $250.

Well this is goodness haha see all I was finding was negative reviews about them glad I posted this cause IMO I can always trim seam sealer that's not a problem at all I just didn't wanna buy a tank and have it break on me like past experience. They will deff be on my number one list to buy from if no other local store around here has a reef ready 75 gallon

Everybody likes a real horror story they can repeat and IMO, that is where most of the bad rep comes from.
GC did have some failures, but so do other tank manufactures. You have a problem like a tank failure, you want to find the biggest audience and shout as loud as you can. I would probably do the same in that circumstance. You just don't hear the good reviews like that. My 240 is the second GC tank I've owned. I bought a used 90 from a craigslist ad and used it for about 1-1/2 years before passing it on. I would not hesitate to buy from them again, if they were doing a west coast tour with the delivery truck.

I do have to point out that the people that had problems with the tank blowing, did have a legitimate beef.
It's the people who just repeat the stories as if they were their own. If you want a budget, average tank then GC is a good place to look. If you want something that is more of a show case, then there are much better places. IMO, if I were you, I would look at all of the options you have in your area. Weigh all the pros and cons and then make a decision.
