ID: White cottony blob under live rock.
I recently found this bean sized cottony white/grey dome with some spikes sticking out on the tip under a piece of live rock. Just trying to figure out what it is.
I have Blue Spot Goby, multiple Green Chromis, Basslets, Clownfish, Firefish, Damsel fish... With Cryptocaryon. Turbo, Nassarius and fighting conch snails. 2 Cleaner shrimp and an assortment of red leg, scarlet and blue leg hermits. There are some corals like frogspawn, wall hammer, zoanthids, favia, and a scoly. What could it be or what other information is needed? http://i.imgur.com/dOtkwT7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0qvLlr0.jpg |

I did not notice any spider webs attached or close by.
Judging from google images it does appear to be a harmless pineapple sponge. Thanks! |
