Need new tenant in 180g tank, recommendations?
I have 2 maroon clowns and a yellow tail damsel. If you were in this situation, what would you get next?

I've got an acan (with ~25 heads), a softball-sized frogspawn, just picked up a monti frag, and some other frag, looks like a carpet (it's a coral though, it's bright green and yellow).

Great; they've been paired for over a year. No spawn (yet, but I don't know if they're tank raised or not...I don't have any high hopes).

If you want my personal thoughts, I'd consider adding a flock of 5-6 Anthias, one male, the rest female. A group of the fairy wrasses would be interesting, too. Achilles tangs can be gorgeous, although they're fairly touchy.

Getting along for over a year? Outstanding!!! Do you have any idea how unusual that is for Maroon clowns?
If I were you, I'd try to find some kind of anemone or coral that this pair will host. That would be a precursor to them possibly mating. |

They're hosting in a LTA right now
I love anthias; they're not cheap though :P

Not bad ideas, I like them and the anthias; I would just like to have something that will take advantage of the space.

Can I house a powder brown, hippo, yellow, and sohal in one tank? (Sohal will be last), I was thinking of something maybe a bit risque?

Nice selection. Probably would be best to add them all at once so they all aclimate together.
And don't forget to quarantine. We wouldn't want anything bad happening to those Maroons. |

No kidding They're actually my favorite. A buddy of mine gave them to me after his tank was absolutely overrun by hair algae (he had awful maintenance tendencies, i.e. water changes never?) He also gave me a bleached sebae anemone, barely bigger than a half dollar, now it's about 8" in diameter, with a nice deep red/orange color.

firefish will eventually dwindle down to a singular fish. so if anything just get one and thats it..but how in the hell you only got 3 small fish in a 180g lol...

My 180 fish list is as follows:
1 8" Vlangimi Tang, 1-6" Sailfin, 6 pajama cardnials, 4 percula clownfish, 1 dotty back, 1 pink spotted goby, 2 firefish, and a hiipo tang that will go in there when he is a tad bit bigger(housed in my 75). I am going to get a yellow eyed kole tang.
