What chemicals / meds do you keep on had at all times?

I will be placing an online order soon and setting up my quarantine tank soon. Display tank will be setup in near future (it has been ordered). Just wanting to figure out what chemicals / meds / anything else you can think of that you keep on hand at all time. Would like to make sure I have what I need on hand just in case.

Thanks

I have a FOWLR so my stuff is just for QTing fish, so fwiw:

Prime (Emergency ammonia control in the QT)
Prazipro (treat prophylactically for internal parasites - flukes, tapeworms, etc)
Cupramine (only treat if I see signs of ich after a couple weeks, or will treat prophylactically if it's a high risk candidate for ich - tangs for example)

And grab a Seachem Ammonia Alert badge for the QT, makes it so much easier to monitor ammonia and catch it early.

before you go out and buy all these chemicals do you really need them?

I keep:

GFO
Carbon
AmQuel
a copper treatment
Calcium
Alk
Magnesium
Coral Dip

Do you have test kits yet? What kind of tank are you planning to run? FOWLR/REEF/SPS heavy? depending on your setup you may not need Cal/Alk/Mag.

I am setting up a 125 with 75 sump reef. Not planning on SPS at this time but maybe later on. I also want to make sure I have meds on hand for quarantine. I have a master test kit that came with some tests kits plus a few that I purchased seperately that were not included in the master kit. If I purchase anything that I dont have a testkit for I will be sure to purchase a test kit for it.

Thanks

Sometimes this hobby calls for heavy Irish Whiskey dosing.

Hydrogen peroxide I dip all my corals in that stuff when needed and works like a charm and for 50 cents a bottle can't get better than that right?

One really needs to watch the concentration if using hydrogen peroxide. It doesn't take much to be stripping of the corals natural mucous coating and do some real harm.

Meds I keep on hand:

Nitrofuracin Green Powder - a big fan, and very helpful in easing initial QT process
Either Furan-2 or maracyn 2 for tough bacterial problems
Chloroquine Phosphate for ich, velvet
Cupramine just in case
Prazipro for deworming
Fish Flox (Cipro) just in case I get the urge for another Magnifica anemone
Coral dip

If you can't find the SW version, but can find the FW version of Maracyn 2, all you need to do is double the dosage of the FW version. They are the same antibiotic, just need to double the dosage for SW
