It looks like a polyclad flatworm. Maroon with a white lace pattern. There's a pic in my gallery.

Where is this algae at? Rockwork, sandbed or the glass? does it clean easily or wipe away?

It's leafy and on the rock work. The biggest the leaves have gotten is about 8 inches in diameter.

Lobophora variegata Algae or Wafer Algae, but you can just pull it off as it will spread and eventually cover the star polyps. It will grow back, but the more you pull it out the less it will come back. Its not harmful, and actually is used as a great nitrate reducer. I used to have a whole rock covered in it and I left it, I just trimmed it back every so often.

Thank you so much. I wasn't going to pull it out. It's been there for about a year and doesn't seem to be spreading. I think it's actually kind of nice looking. Sometimes it gets big and eventually breaks off because of the flow. So it keeps itself in check.
