Best 6 bulb ATI combo ?
24" 6 bulb will be going over my 40 breeder soon, and was wondering which bulb combo I should go with… wanna get the best colors out of my coral, and will be a mixed reef… Don't want a white look but not super blue or purplish . I thought about doing :
Blue+ Blue+ Aquablue Special Purple+ Blue+ True Actinic or… Blue+ Blue+ Aquablue Special Purple+ Ture Actinic Blue+ or…forget the true actinic and go … Blue+ Blue+ Aquablue Special Purple+ Blue+ Coral+ or another Purple Plus |

The aquablue special washes the color out imo. 3 blue plus, 2 coral plus, and a purple plus will give you a nice crisp 15k look. Not too blue and not white either.

So the aqua blue special is just really bright then ? Too much white ? And the coral plus has a little more blue in it ? How is the kz new generation ? I've heard this is a great bulb , don't understand why more $$ though |

Kz bulbs are great but the extra cost is crazy imo. Ati bulbs put out awesome color and par.

I recently went with 3 blue+ and 3 coral+, absolutely love it. It reminds me of when I ran a KZ purple bulb which has no comparison imo.

The 6x24w is a great choice for a 40 breeder.
I'd go with something like the 3 blue and 3 coral or even 4 blue, 1 Purple and 1 GE 6500k.

Thanks for the replies. I have 4 ati blue+ and a giesemann aqua pink laying around, I went ahead an order a purple plus, actinic and 2 coral plus so I can play around with the colors.

Can't confirm but a reliable person in the bizz said ATI and KZ are the same and made by philips. My spectrometer shows the super blue and blue + are probably the same tube
