Top off water storage ideas
I'm looking to replace my top off water holding tank and was going get some ideas from everyone else on what they are using. Right now I'm just using a 10 gallon rubber tote that my wife says is ugly..lol
Please share pics ! Thanks |

She would really hate my 40g tote then. You could use anything from another fish tank to a 5gal bucket as long as it is easy to access. The easier it is to get water to it the more you will do it.

I use a 30 gallon container next to the tank. Covered with a table clothe so it's not an eye sore. It's the black thing to the right in the pic. One of these days I'll get a plant to sit on top of it and make it look better.

I have a 5g reservoir built into my sump. So no hauling water for me as I will just turn on the RODI and fill it. I have a float switch for notification if the float valve fails and it keeps filling.
I'll keep it turned off unless it needs filled, just to prevent any potential of flooding the house/tank. And the apex will email me when it is time to fill it up again.

I use a 20/G white brute with Lid from Home Depot. They also have a 10/G white brute.
