Fluval Edge HOB Filter turned Fuge

Is that possible? If so, what would I put in it. My goal is to possibly encourage pod production...

Yes. The larger the HOB, the better. I'd suggest chaeto as the macroalgae. Any sand or LR rubble could impede the impeller.
