Torch Expelling Waste - Too Much Light?
See attached pictures.
i have a torch (which seems to be doing pretty well - the second head split already and another head is forming) which has been in my tank for ~ 6 weeks. Yesterday i saw it expelling some waste (not jelly disease) - today still looks great however do you think i have an overkill of light and should place this in another tnak ? i have room the bottom of my 9g cube with 1 kessil light over. anyone have experience with these ? current lighting on this tank = 2 t5HO + 1 30 LED strip. let me know your thoughts. |

I doubt it's too much light. Did it catch some food while you were feeding?

I didn't directly feed mine but my guess is a little extra food being pushed out

would need to see a much closer pic of the coral?
is it waste it is expelling or is it the zooxanthalgae? is the coral losing any colour? i used to directly feed my torch, frogspawn, and duncans with reef nutrition by H2O…i never seen them expel anything after eating |
