Rinsing Sand
Do I need to add a de-chlorinator to the my tank? I added sand to my tank and rinsed it with tap water.

Probably wouldn't hurt anything. The chlorine will work its way out over time though.

Oh. I didn't even notice that. Where did the stuff you rinsed off go to?
Don't feel bad. When I set up my first tank I put salt and dechlorinator in and filled it with a garden hose pulled in through my front window. Then I poured the bags of sand in. It was a mess. Last edited by Crooked Reef; 02/24/2014 at 10:03 PM. |
