Question ON ICH treatment

So I have just QT'd a fish that has ich. I don't have a big enough tank to contain all my fish in the qt. I have been reading that i should take all the fish out....but can I treat the fish while they are in my dt..? If not do I also have to remove my starfish...black spine...corals...anem...and such..? Do I just have to remove the fish....I am sorry for another ich question...but there are soooo many threads and I have been unable to find info about this...thank you.

Nothing that cures ich is safe enough to treat the dt, youll have to treat all the fish or you will never get rid of it. Even a cheap plastic tote can be used as a qt.

All corals and inverts can be left in the dt, they wouldnt survive the treatment anyway, and ich cant survive on them long term anyway.

---So I just remove the fish and only the fish .... I also have snails // hermits...cleaner shrimp...sea urchin...starfish...those can all stay in the DT..?

Yes, only the fish come out, everything else stays.

As for the sand, ich cant live in the sand past a certain length of time without a host fish which is the reason you leave the dt fishless for 10-12 weeks.

Leave everything running as normal, your corals and anemone still need the light.

I have a question....if I have a seeded filter in my sump and I put it in a just set up qt...how long would I have to wait to put fish in...People that have made threads on this make is seem you can right away....putting a seeded filter will instantly cycle a tank..?

Or is it better just to use tank water...? I always have 30g or so of mixed water...that I can fill my qt up with...I am just wanting to make sure if I just put my seeded filter in then I can instantly put my sick fish in....

With the seeded filter you can add fish right away but still keep an eye ob ammonia. The tank water dont really help much as to cycleing the tank as the bacteria that you want will be in the filter, sand, rocks ect, not the water itself.
