Where did you buy your rock at? I really like what you've done and the wife and I were wanting to steal some ideas....

I wasn't afraid to add a bunch of livestock at once. I tested every day or 2 and the ammonia and nitrite never moved above 0. Im going to add 2 or 3 small fish and call it a day for stocking lol.

The ich is pretty bad on my hippo tang, but Im feeding them lots of nori and mysis. Im setting up a 75 as a QT and will go that route, which sucks.

Ive talked to a lot of people around my area that are telling me that they have QT fish, left tanks fallow for 4 months, put the fish back in, and they get ich again. I think what did me in on the ich was a large WC I did the other day.

Im going to wait and see how the hippo does over the next day or 2 and see if it gets better.

As far as my rock - I got a lot of the base rock from Mail Order Pet supplies here in Hamilton, Ontario. Its just Marco Rock. I have 90 some pounds of it. I then added about 40 lbs of Tonga and Fiji Live rock. The substrate is aragonite. I went in and hand picked all the pieces. Much more fun than just ordering it

Ill keep you all in the loop regarding what I do on the ich situation. Thats part of the reason I added so many fish at once. To try to avoid it.

On the other hand, my corals are doing great lol.

Oh, and I DO NOT have Red Bugs. They are Tigger Pods! Woohoo. He feeds them to his mandarin, which is also in the frag tank. Thats a relief.

Im going to be picking up a 6 line wrasse or yellow wrasse today so I have all my fish before QT if I go that way.

Ick is not really getting better, as I knew it wouldn't. Im not sure why I have been resisting doing a QT. Its the only shortcut I have taken, and look what happened.

Amateur hour for sure.

Ill be setting it up tomorrow (a 75g), and then going fish hunting in my tank.

Funny. The LFS told me to buy a cleaner wrasse to take care of the ick. Right…..

I have moved all the fish into the 75 g QT and am doing 20-30% WC until the sponge filters catch up and can handle the bioload. I added cupramine the first day, but the fish acted a bit funky so I changed out 50 gallons. Now its day 4, and I added about 1/3 the first dose.

The Display tank itself is now LOADED with pods and other crazy stuff. I cant believe how many are in there now. They are all over the glass, the rocks, the substrate. EVERYWHERE!!

Will update in a few days
