Dilema
I have a major dilema.
I ordered two new powerheads, adjustable controllable DC, because I didn' feel that the ones that came with the tank when I bought it were what I needed. They were blowing way too strong on my frogspawn and xenia, no matter how I pointed them. I was down to just running one at a time constantly, so not a whole lot of "tidal" back and forth type flow. So my problem is, the tank is looking awesome now and I really don't want to mess with it and screw things up, but I'd really like to put in the two new pumps I have coming in within the next couple of days. Any thoughts or suggestions from the more experienced of y'all out there?? |

My wife would more than likely agree with that statement...
But no, my dilemma is whether or not to mess with something that seems to have finally straightened itself out. Up until just this last week I've been fighting with algae, diatoms, cyan, or some other such crud covering my sand, rocks, glass and everything else imaginable. It has now gone away and I'm afraid that starting to screw with the tank at this point might undo whatever good has been done. |

I'd hook them up and see how you like it. Its always good to have extra pumps and create a random flow pattern.

Thanks y'all. It's just hard to make the decision to start messing with something that appears to working perfectly now.
Once they get in I'll hook them up and cross my fingers. I'm replacing an off brand set that came with the tank with a WP-10 and WP-25 from Jebao. I know it's just another off brand pump, but at least they're controllable instead of all out all the time. |
