reef in progress
I have a 150 gallon show tank with a 3'' sand bed 100+ lbs of lr. 2 power heads tom over flow box. lighting coralife (2) 36'' delux lunar aqualight 2 96w 10000k 2 96w blue actinic 4 led lights
2 clark clownfish, scopas tang, big eye soldier fish, scooter blenny, engineer goby, green bta, 5-8 blue leg hermits 1 red leg hermit bumble bee snail 3 turbos and 2 emerald crabs also have a 65 gal sump/fuge fuge has 3'' sand bed 5 lb lr cheato, red gracillia, ulva lettuce, Tisbe and amphipods. dump side has protein skimmer and a power head and sump has a 1000 gal/hr pond pump. ph-8.3 ammonia-0 nitrite-0 nitrate-0 salinity 1.023 couple of questions how often should i add tisbe/amphipods to the fuge? Can i add a brine shrimp hatch to the fuge? Are these even making it to my show tank? is there any thing else i should be testing for before i start adding coral, sps and softies. |

if you have ample amount of places for pods to grow you dont have to keep adding thy will multiply on there own i would not waste time with brine shrimp. pods have no problem making there way to the DT as for test kits you will want calcium, magnesium, carbonate hardness (KH) when you get a handle on keeping these stable you can add other just remember do not dose anything you do not test for good luck happy reefing
