Plumbing question for seperate fuge/sump setup

I have a 75G display with the plan on using a 40G sump and 40G refugium. Both 40G tank where owned previously and both have 3/4" bulkheads in the back corners of both tank. I'm going to plug 3 of the 4 holes, leaving one of the bulkheads open to use as an overflow in the refugium so that I can return water back to the sump by gravity by raising the fuge above the sump.

The problem is that I am having a bit of a height restriction. So, I'm thinking of connecting a pipe to the bulkhead on the fuge, running it over to the corner of the sump.

Would the pull of the pump be enough to keep up with the overflow from the refugium, or would it be best to attach a Y connector on to the intake of my pump, and connect one end of the Y to the 3/4 bulkhead to assist pulling water out of the fuge into the sump and back up to the display tank.

Ya, if anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I would have two returns from the refugium to your sump. One can plug and over flow the refugium, better to have a back up. You control the flow through the refugium by the pump from the sump to the refugium.
